I'm actually fairly happy with mine on the highway. I find the city mileage dramatically different though. No one seems to have topped what I have been doing with mine! I think those mods suited it well.
I also haven't driven it in the winter so no experience with that.
Deane, yes you went one more step than I did with the Motordyne Thermal Plenum Spacer which seems to have help gas mileage and performance big time.Originally Posted by RBull

and yes it's hard to get decent mileage out of the VQ in town, and coupled with cold weather & idling, winter time adds up to lousy economy.
I agree that hwy mileage is pretty good.

13.5L/100km (that's about 17mpg) measured over 700+ km. Baby footing it 50% city, 50% stuck on the 401.
Only about 1200kms on it though, so I sincerely hope it gets better.

I get on average 11.5L/100km (City + Hwy combined) with an average speed of around 50km, but i'm in a 350z, and i use 94 octane.
I don't usually go all the way empty on my tank, but 3/4 tank gets me just about 450km. So theoretically, I should get around 600km per tank...
But yea, for me, hwy gas/milage is way lower than city driving. I've got the gauge on my Z to stay at gas/milage, and all i see when i'm on the hwy is that number dropping down all the time, and rasing everytime i'm in the city.
I think the lowest I ever had was 8.9L/100km (pure hwy driving).

You mileage on the average isn't bad (if I've done the math right)......about 24.5mpg's overall, and hwy nets you about 31.5........ Not too shabby.....
My Sedan would do slightly better, but my Coupe would be in that ballpark.
Sure it could be better, but it's not the worst I've heard of by far.

Thanks! I'm in the GTA area, west GTA though (Brampton to be exact)...i've met some of you guys already in the recent g35 meet at kennedy commons, though i'm pretty bad with names. I'm pretty sure I didn't see any M45's at that meet, so I'm assuming I haven't met you yet!Originally Posted by Msedanman

Yea, the mileage is pretty good for me, since my driving style is semi-aggressive :P not exactly a lead foot, but I do like to punch the throttle every once in a while.

Your driving style is similar to mine.
Be safe and hope to meet up soon.

you guys consider yourselves lucky...I am getting around 375 at the most out of one tank. but I do 90% city. sigh

I am in GTA and I do 50-50 mix driving.
Today, I see 430km and that leaves 1/5 of tank full in my gauge.
I think i will get Z tube and KN filter in hope to get better gas mileage.
