OK Guys in the GTA here's the scoop!

Just got back from my buddy Dave over at Steelcase Tire.

He's a friend & they look after all our tire needs for work.
(& he hooks me up for my G )

They're just starting to get all their winter stock in.

Anyone looking for winter tires and/or rims he'll cut them a sharp deal.
Just mention G35 Driver & me

Make sure you ask for Dave.

Really?....they quoted me $1180 for 235/45/18. Not bad but I still got a better price from my regular guy for $1040 for the same set.

They recommend it a tire I've never heard of NOKIAN (from Finland or something) for $956 but it's not as nice as the Blizzaks.

Highly reccommend Nokian Chico, I have had them and as far as I'm concerned they are the best winter tire you can get. I tried to get them in the 16" size I required for the X and they were not available so I had to settle for Blizzak WS-50s. For my driving conditions they would be my choice.

hmm maybe i should go check a few more places before i make my decision. But Dave said that the price of tires are about to go up due to the price increase of oil. So i guess we should get them soon before it really does happen.

I got the Nokian tires on my winter setup and they are great. I got those and 16 inch steel rims for about the same thing you posted Chico. Look into them, they are a great tire! If you want another contact let me know. I didn't want to Hijack Ian's thread!!

ditto on the nokians - they truly are the best winter tire you can get. the hakka1 will probably provide better deep snow traction out of any tire. the blizzaks (and now yoko) use technology that is better on ice, but nokians excel in deep snow. i wish they came in the right size for my z

ps: i had nokian nrw's on my audi but the hakka 1's are their newer winter tire

I vouch for Nokians for Winter tires as well.

These quotes you're getting from Dave, are they taxes in and installed?

Great to know you have a contact Ian..... and guys, when I'm shopping around, I make sure the quotes I get are for the indentical tires, which may not be available from every shop.
Could be the reason we're getting fluctuating prices.?????? G/L.
