This might be a newbie question, but is there any gains from the spacer for the 05 model?

Thanks

It works by providing high thermal conductance on one side and high insulation on the other. Keeping the TB side heated and the plenum side cool.

I've tested it and it works really good.

Note: the copper tubing is bonded to the pure copper plate with silver solder for high thermal conductance. And the black rubber is 1/8" thick Nitrile. Heat doesn't pass through the Nitrile.

Ok. Now I'm really confused. I guess I should take a look at it this weekend. So the coolant only flows through the plenum thus heating up the TB at the same time, or does both the TB and plenum have coolant flowing through them?

If only the plenum gets coolant flow, then does that mean the copper iso therm simply reroute the coolant flow to heat the copper plate and thus only heat up the TB? And since it has the insulator on the plenum side then the plenum doesn't get heated up at all by the coolant?

I'm thinking that's how this thing works. By rerouting the coolant flow so that only the TB gets the heat and it isolates the heat from the plenum through the use of the thermal barrier "gasket".

That appears to be exactly how it works.

Tony: As always, a well-engineered solution. It looks GREAT!

No, the spacers don't do a thing for the 05' 6MT's.

When I personally tested this on the dyno it was quite a disappointment. The disappointment motivated me to come up with a new development. And boy I am so happy it worked that way... Because now, I have developed a new mod that so throughly kicks azz, its probably the single most effective bolt-on on the market by a factor of 2X or more.

More area under the curve than anything else by a long shot. This one single mod alone probably offers more total gains than the entire Crawford package combined!... (seriously)

More than any exhaust system, y pipe, plenum, SSV, headers, test pipes, open headers, anything. Totally serious too.

This new NA mod is going to rock the VQ world for the year 2006.

Its been scientifically dynoed 3 different times on three different cars and the results are all repeatable.

Details will be released when enough of them have been produced and stockpiled.

So is this new amazing product only designed for the 05 298hp motors to produce results or can it be used on all G35/350z motors?

Can we get a hint?

I just can't stop visiting my lovely engine bay lol.

Btw, did u guys do per instructions given by Tony on the lower plenum
spacer? " Coat a thin layer of motor oil on the gasket to improve sealing"
I just bought a bottle of 5w30 for that purpose!

Yes on the motor oil.

Good luck.

The current mods really sound great,
but the one he's teasing us with is driving me nuts.
Those are pretty impressive gains he's talking about.

I know. I'm hoping it's considered a small mod so I can take the fewest prep points and stay in my class.
