Re: Canadian Winter Wheels/tires

These wheels are ready to go mounted and balanced, hrmm a winter package under $1000??? Not likely. Just to say we have got a strong response from everyone in regards to the packages. And hoping these will satisfy even the most demanding for visual appeal.
Being a dealer it usually is alot more expensive for packages.Than a tire specialist shop. What we are looking at is a CASH price of $2020.00 this includes taxes. Everyone has to pay these lovely taxes. Shipping varies from place to place, BUT as an example Purolated to Calgary it will cost $177.00 this includes insurance. I can have a set ready to go within 24 hours of a placed order. You can email me @ jliu@dfcauto.com for further details and ordering. Thanks. Jerry

I dont have the tires (blizzaks) yet, and I was gonna put em on my stock 18s for the winter, the salt wont hurt em.

Re: Canadian Winter Wheels/tires

Hey thats exactly what I mean, the rims are 18x7.5 so this allows your to fit a maximum size of 245 45 18 on the rear -HOWEVER!!! You should for ideal purposes run a 225- 45 -18 or 235 45 18 on the rear, kinda defeats the purpose when you go wide in the rear.

Just picked up some FRD 30's (5-Spoke, look great) with the Blizzak LM-22's to fit over the Brembo's.

Here is the comparison between the stock and winter sizes:

Diameter 26.0 Diameter 25.9
Circumference 81.6 Circumference 81.2
Radius 13.0 Radius 12.9
Revs/min 777 Revs/min 780

Stock New
245/45/18 235/50/17
Diameter 26.7 Diameter 26.3
Circumference 83.8 Circumference 82.5
Radius 13.3 Radius 13.1
Revs/min 756 Revs/min 768

Re: Canadian Winter Wheels/tires

i just finished installing the FRD 30's on a G35 coupe with Brembos and they fit really well...I could still get a finger between the caliper and rim. I'll post pics as soon as i get a chance.

Re: Canadian Winter Wheels/tires

no, 17x8's

The book does show 18x8 with 24 offset...but having more sidewall during winter by going with the 17's is a better bet IMO.

neohh > They are good and have decent pricing. Also try a place called GreenBay Tire at Greenlane and in between Leslie and Bayview. Pay cash and they are known to be cheaper.
