Edmonton/Calgary Road Trip

I'm taking a road trip next week (May 14) and wondering where the Alberta members have found the best G fuel. I run 94 octane Chevron here in Vancouver, but don't know if you have Chevron there. 05 Lakeshore sedan - flash if you see me. Thanks.

The Husky stations in Edmonton and St. Albert have 94 octane.

I haven't tried it myself personally, I stick with Shell gold. A couple of my friends will use it when they go to the drag strip at bud park.

From the little that I have read about 94 Octane 10% ethanol fuel, it gets worse gas milage and doesnt do much else for the vehicle. It may burn slightly cleaner but like i said it takes more to get somewhere, there fore not worth using in my uneducated opnion.

I tend to buy Shell Gold products and stay away ...far far away from any ethanol based fuel.

Thanks for the help guys, I think I'm going with shell once I'm out of of chevron range. They say that you may be able to get 93 depending on the region. Calgary to Edmntn on tuesday next week - any hot spots on the freeway that I should be on the lookout for speed traps? And yes, I drive fast.

Red Deer... slow down 50 KM approaching and departing Red Deer. they have a lot of traffic cars there. both N/B and S/B traffic.

Ponoka... also another hot spot for the RCMP. (if ur going from Edmonton to Calgary... S/B) watch for a speed trap when u go uphill on a curved section of road , and then it starts going down... a right hand sweeper. the RCMP like to sit a the botom of the hill in the bend in the road. u can't see them till it's too late.

be careful... lots of moving radar too.

safe travels!
