Wow, this thread was back from the dead. I'll try hoodman, though, and see about it.

Well, either you mistyped the website, or it no longer exists, because hoodman.com takes me to some kind of mall-superstore portal totally unrelated to screen hoods.

Thanks, though.

Hey Dave I googled and came up with this site. Maybe this is what he meant?

http://www.hoodmanusa.com/

And possibly this sort of item although this one is too big:

http://www.hoodmanusa.com/computers.asp

Personally that is kind of tacky to me. I'm looking for something I can put on the screen to help out. Especially here in DC when it snows its almost impossible to see it.

Yeah, that might be the site, I didn't bother trying to search. I'll take a look and see if there is something for a 7" screen. Still kind of tacky, though.

Yes, and I am waiting for it to be available from mp3car.com in the G35 mount. When it does, I will jump on it

Are you guys using the new cases from DW or the older ones? I have the older one (screen recessed), and I do beleive I also paid extra for the brighter scrren, and I have yet to have glare be an issue. Just to be fair, I do also have tinted side/back windows and a black interior. Maybe the older casing from DW might help out a bit.

This is the main reason why I havent started my carpc. I want to go with a touchscreen but I keep hearing horror stories about the glare issue with the dw g35 mount, has anyone come up with some fixes or work around for this issue?
