Can I wax, without washing?

I washed and waxed my car 2 days ago. I really love how it came out, but I want to put another coat of wax on it. My question is, can I wax it without washing it? Its still very clean and spotless just has some dust on it but I keep wiping it off after I drive. If I thoroughly wipe the dust off, can I just wax it again to get a deeper shine to it? TIA.

i would say do not wax unless the paint is 100% clean because you'll basically be grinding and swirling **** all over it. and if there's dust (and other **** that you can barely see) on the clear coat, you're going to be pushing and grinding it all over...

maybe if you pressure washed it (with a regular hose, just a strong stream)and then just wiped it down with a microfiber towel... it should be OK i think, but at least do that much.

Give your car a good wash.

Whats a few extra minutes of your time?

Don't take a chance screwing up your paint . The soap helps rid the surface of small contaminates that you can't see.

Just like ivoryWisp said, you would be grinding the dirt into the clear coat and then its "scratch city" for you.

I would wash thoroughly first before waxing. You want to make sure all dirt, and whatever else is on the car to be off before applying wax.

Wash and then Wax on.........

It's way better to wash your car prior to waxing
because you don't want to add grit to the wax
thus creating scratches or swirls.
