Yet another Zaino querstion....
From the Zaino web site:
"Squirt a dime size dab of polish on your applicator and rub it into your paint using circular hand motions. Then, go over the same area using a straight back and forth motion on top panels and an up and down motion on side panels. Allow the polish to haze over for 20 to 30 minutes."
I guess I'm doing it wrong because a dime size squirt will only do one mirror for me. I cannot see how this tiny amount will do half a hood. The only thing I don't use is Z-6. I use Meguires spray detailer instead.

I soak the applicator with water first, then keep it moist with z6. I also use an "x" pattern to spread the zaino on the applicator and then spread it evenly over the applicator surface with a squeeze or 2. This amount will cover 1 "panel" (1/2 the hood is about the size of 1 "panel"). The total amount I use on the car is 1/2 the small mixing bottle.
If you want to come on up to katy next weekend, I'll be glad to show you how I lay on the zaino! I should be starting on Friday, working thru Sunday to lay on a few layers, z5, z6, z5, z6, z2, z6.

I've heard that using too much Zaino actually does more harm than good, so don't be afraid to use sparingly. If in doubt, just finish up the car, wipe off, then do another layer. I'm sure you'll see the difference.

It's looking like my problem is two fold. One, I haven't been soaking or really even spritzing the applicator. Two, it's the old dog new tricks thing. I'm just used to conventional wax. Thanks guys...
