Can it be removed?
Okay, when i got my car a week ago, i didn't notice but all my windows had hard water marks on them that wont come off. I used windex, alcohol, i tried scrubbing with soap and water and i still had no luck in removing the marks. Its really annoying me because my windows still look dirty after i clean my car. Its seriously all over the windows. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to remove these stains? I brought it to the dealer and i thought the stuff they used got rid of the marks but it didnt! It was kinda dark outside already and you cant really see the marks unless the car is under the sun. Any suggestions would be really helpful..thanks

I use wax every now and then on my windows "zymol to be exact" I have had spots on them and they seem to disappear very nicely when I put a coat of wax on them and polish it out. You could also try rain-X, I have heard some people say that works as well, I have never used rain-X... dont need to with a coat of zymol on em : )

Try Chrome Polish, I have always used that, cleaned up my house windows with it too! (we have extremely hard water in NM) CLR doesn't even budge this stuff!

lets see, ive tried rainx, vinegar and water, and some other foamy glass cleaner...it still didnt work. The surface is smooth but the marks are very visible. What else can i do? Should i just go to a auto detailing shop or a car wash and ask what can be done?

Aren't they on your paint as well, seems like they would show up bigtime on TB!

Zaino, Zaino, Zaino Glass Polish. I am in Florida and we have some really bad calcium in the water (which really makes the spots stand out). This stuff works like a charm. I use this and then use Stoner's afterward.
Re: Can it be removed?
First, check to see if it's just marks on the inside. Second, get yourself some glass polish......not sure if that stuff is sold at your local automotive parts supplier, but check them out. 3rd, take it to a detailing shop and they would be able to tell what it is right away.

ABQ_G35 -- the weird thing is that there are no water spot stains anywhere on the paint. It is specifically just on all the windows...weird huh?

I wonder if there is some kind of film on the glass that has collected the spots, do you have really hard water where you live? I used to get some spots like that when I washed my car in the summer, it would dry to fast, but I have been using dionized water for about 5 years now. try the glass polish, it's cheap.

ColdFusion, belive me, the chrome polish works, (I'm sorry, don't know why I called it glass polish, oops) and it's cheap! Have you noticed those spots for very long? Maybe they were already there, sometimes we don't notice stuff until we drive it a few days. Do you get any white crap around your faucets in the house, scaley looking white? That's what we have here!

Oh my lord, I swear Las Vegas water SUCKS! My faucet dripped for a day and a rock formed... I hate hard water. My black beauty has been all white and icky for the past few days-- what can you do to counter this horrible, horrible hard water?? I swear it hails pebbles when it rains here...

You mean even the rain water is like that? Geez, not here, I know the rock thing though! I wash my car with dionized water, all that crap is out of it, dries without leaving spots, I buy the gallon jugs and use a garden sprayer to rinse the car!
