You need to remove that off the plastic as soon as possible before the sun takes care of it for you. It happened to me a couple of days ago and I just used a dry microfiber and rubbed it hard and it came off. I would try using soap and water and a sponge with the net on it (the one used to remove bugs and tar) and see if it comes off. If not, use a little bit of rubbing alcohol. Don't rub on it too hard. Remember only use a little bit b/c it can permanently discolor the plastic. Good luck. You can get a better response on your problem if you post in the detailing part of this forum.

Look into a product called ZAINO. You can only find it online. It is a sealer & works very well. I have been using it since i got the car in 2005 & people think the car is still new. The first application is the hardest, but after that future upkeep is the easest of all products i used.

I've heard of the eraser method to remove excess wax but it never worked really good for me.
For waxes, from what I've heard, Zaino is the best. Only reason why I have not tried it yet is b/c of the time involved in the first application.
Meguair's NXT has been working great for me for the time being.

Zaino is a synthetic Polymer Sealant, it is NOT A WAX! That said, it still won't take care of your problem.
Use a claybar, peanut butter or IPA 50/50. After you REMOVE it, you can use a sealant like Zaino to protect it. You can use it on anything exterior and it wont stain the rubber or plastic.
