Anyone tried this Ultima stuff? They claim it's even better than Zaino .

So what...There're a lot of products not tested which give results not worse than Zaino and easier to apply.
Once surface is properly prepped, you can put dog poo on it and have "amazing shine".
Zaino-Blackfire-Klasse-PS21 side by side after clay and 2 stage Menzerna polish=zero difference from visual standpoint.
Longevity-who cares if most of us wax our cars monthly or even weekly...

'They', the supplier of Ultima, have given an unbiased opinion that there product is superior to Zaino???

I never thought that DavidB would have stooped to this kind of marketing tactic. If your product is superior test it in the market place and if its as good as you say it is then the detailing community will make it be successful on its merits, not hype (how soon they have forgotten the last 'better than Zaino' products-NXT, Blackfire, etc

I'm surprised as well that David B. would employ this type of marketing tactic.

Seems like their trying to sell us on ease of use and fewer steps. But if you read on their "system" has two seperate products you need to apply if you have swirls or scratches. Thats the same as Zaino and their products are more expensive. I don't pay $30 a bottle for z2 or z5. Personally I'll stick to Zaino for the every 3 months polish and clean. I use NXT for my monthly wax
on my G. Zaino FTW!!!!!

I think there are alot of products better than Zaino. Just depends who you ask. I used to be an avid Zaino fan, but got deeper wetter looks from carnaubas. Now thats comparing apples vs oranges. Zaino vs Ultima...they're both sealants. CG Jetseal109 looks better than Zaino Z5 IMO.

I find Meg's #21 synthetic sealant looks better than zaino z2/z5 also, and has enough durability for me not to complain about. 3 months is about as long as I need, because if you aren't waxing your car more often than that, then the induced swirls will probably ruin the look anyways.

Unless you belong to the Zaino cult......!

Unless you belong the the Zaino cult (there's a few out there) the market
is loaded with high quality waxes. My choice is Zymol concourse and at
$330 per lb it better be good! My two cents, it's far better than anything
Zaino ever thought of putting out......fact!

It'll look better but will have nowhere near the durability, so your claim that its "better" is subjective

That's true, yes this thread is purely subjective. But Zymol vs Zaino? As I said before, that's comparing natural apples to synthetic oranges.

My .02......surface prep is crucial.......followed by a quality synthetic sealeant, and topped off with a quality carnauba is the best system I have found.

Although re-application of the carnauba is necessary every month or so, I think the wetting agents found naturally in the wax give the best shine results I have found to date.

I do think the surface of Klasse SG is smoother/slicker by itself.
