First of all, do a search first next time and there is a great thread by g35mt.

https://g35driver.com/forums/showfla...sed&sb=5&part=

BUT since you asked, here is the info:

The "dash kit" is not necessarily a kit per se but I just call it that b/c its shorter to type. lol Here are the parts needed, part numbers and the prices as quoted to me by J's Garage from japan. (BTW, they are very courteous and easy to work with)

1. 68260-AM913 Double Din Dash Titanium @ 56.90USD
2. 28038-AL700 bracket @ 32.97USD
3. 27500-AL501 AC Controller @ 220.50USD.
4. 68475-35F00 Dash Pocket @ 9.30USD
5. 68470-60M00 Blank Bracket @ 5.70USD
Shipping cost - 57USD
Card change 5% - 19.11USD
TOTAL - 401.48USD.

Re: final answer please!!!

If you are referring to the wood dash kit, I am getting mine from exoticwooddash.com They have just reduced their prices and you can get the center console covered for around $65 or $75 for the 8 piece kit (synthetic wood) or for around $159 for the 21 piece kit (dash surround, glovebox, window switches etc + console) The real wood kits are between $85-$210 depending upon how many pieces are desired.

Re: final answer please!!!

just my 2 cents in this topic:
I had my I35 infiniti done with a wood kit when I bought it back in Dec. 01.....this was installed by my infiniti dealer....at first I thought it was a really nice addition....however....after some time I started noticing some pcs. were lifting...some did not match either....some pcs (small ones like around handle grab and on my seat memory set on the door ) fell off....that didn't bother me too much because on a warm day you could affix it again...but the seams on the dash and console started to expand and contract at different rates and really started to look "less" than the infiniti standard...many people wouldn't notice but I surely did....It can be removed all together if you did do it and did not like the look later on....but a thin veneer still looks like an additional pc laid over the stock set up IMO....well I guess that was my 4 cents....sorry I rambled..its your car but I would not consider another dash kit unless it was factory option and the fit and finish would be up to that standard...sub standard in my opinion...20ld4this

Re: final answer please!!!

those dash kits remind me of those puffy stickers we had as little kids. Carbon fiber kit looks cool, wood grain not so much IMO.

Re: final answer please!!!

Has anyone done the custom coating from exoticwooddash.com?

I have to convert my black center console to look similar to the Titanium trim. I have the G35X which didn't have the Sport Package as an option, meaning there is no way to get the titanium trim.

The custom coating from exoticdashwood allows you to send them your parts, and they will custom coat them. The big difference is that they don't stick on a kit. The coating is supposedly extremely thin (paper thin as advertised by their sales), and will not stick out like the kits.

In addition, the benefit is that it will cover the entire part, not just the top, such that nothing sticks out.

I was curious if anyone has done the in any color from them. I would like to see photos of the finished product on the G35.

Thanks,
Alex
