Pinnacle or Klasse?

I currently use Pinnacle Shampoo, followed by Pinnacle Clay bar kit, followed by Pinnacle Cleansing Lotion, 3M Hand Glaze and Pinnacle Souveran wax.

Question, I am considering substituting the cleansing lotion and 3M Glaze for Klasse all in one and Klasse High Gloss Sealant. Would this provide better protection?

Is the High Gloss Sealant easier to apply than the 3M hand glaze, as the 3M can be difficult to remove?

Should I just substitute the Klasse Sealant for the 3M Glaze?

Is the Klasse high gloss sealant necessary on top of the all-in-one? Does it provide more shine is sandwiched between the all in one and Souveran? Or is the High Gloss just an extra sale Klasse is trying to make?

Which combo would provide the best protection?

Which combo would provide the best shine?

Thanks for any help you can give?

Re: Pinnacle or Klasse?

I tried the Klasse AIO and the Sealant Glaze.
The AIO is very easy to use, and does a reasonable job of hiding small swirls and scratches.
The Sealant Glaze is recommended to further seal and protect the finish, and you can apply multiple coats of sealant glaze.

I have found if you apply the AIO and a layer of Sealant Glaze, then follow up with a multiple layer of P21S wax, you will get outstanding results....the P21S wax really brings out that gloss that the paint sealant/acrylics seem to lack......

I'm not sure if the Pinnacle wax is compatible with the Klasse, so you may want to check and try it on a small area and see.....

I would recommend the Klasse/wax combination if you garage your car. The wax has short term life, especially in the heat of summer and the harsh enviroment of winter.

Many on this forum swear by the zaino system, which is said to give the best shine and longest lasting protection....It is expensive, and is mail order only....
Hope this helps you ......good luck and post your results......

Re: Pinnacle or Klasse?

Go with the Klasse AIO and SG FOLLOWED BY the Pinnacle Souveran (or P21S as someone else suggested) for the best combination of shine and durability. The SG is simple to apply and remove as is the AIO. I used to be on the 3M/Pinnacle program and recently switched....no comparison really. However, I love the Pinancle Souveran so I used it as a topper coat for the Klasse twins and it really adds some depth. The Zaino gives a little more durability than the Klasse, but is WAY more expensive for the complete set and also is more time consuming.

Re: Pinnacle or Klasse?

Thanks for the info. I have read that you are supposed to apply the Klasse with a microfiber pad and spray some quick detail before applying the klasse for easier application. What do you/use do for the easy application of the Klasse AIO and SG?

Re: Pinnacle or Klasse?

The AIO is a simple wipe on wipe off process...if you apply a little elbow grease it will help to hide some of the swirls/scratches if you have any...
The Sealant Glaze should be applied to the whole car, and then removed. Depending on the Temp/Humidity, it will come off pretty easy...If it leaves any residue, then its not completely dry...

I found if there were any places where the Sealant Glaze didn't wipe off, I hit it with the Sonus Acrylic detail spray which they recomend as a follow up after washing....

I used a sponge applicator for the AIO and a Terry cloth pad for the Sealant Glaze.....I removed both with MicoFiber towels.....
I purchased a complete kit which supplied the applicators and one Micofiber Towel

Re: Pinnacle or Klasse?

The detailing spray is needed only for areas that are not easily removed...I have never had to go that route. I apply the AIO with a Porter Cable 7424, and remove by hand with microfiber. The AIO has to be worked a little (if you have scratches to fill) so the PC helps accomplish this in a timely manner. The SG goes on so easily that I apply it by hand (microfiber pad), and remove with a microfiber towel....same with the Pinnacle topper coat.

Re: Pinnacle or Klasse?

For my red coupe, I use Klasse-Souveran combo ... get exceptional shine, protection, and durability (granted Klasse will last 6 mos, Souveran 2 mos). Note, do NOT use glaze with this combo; read more here: http://www.properautocare.com/klaskit.html
