Get my car tinted next week with 35% Madico film next week. I was quoted $240. Is that a reasonable price?

where at? the reputable shops are usually in the 200+ range from what i've found

Sounds like a reasonable price...Good choice on the tint brand and the percentage...35% shouldn't attract cops unless their on a real power trip...Post pics when your done

 

Coincidentally, I just set an appointment to have my sedan tinted next Sunday. The tinter will come to my house (a 120 mile drive round trip) and do the install in my garage. He'll use Madico Onyx (their premier film), 35% on back and both rear side windows, 55% on the two front side windows, and he tints the rear window in one large piece (most shops do it in 2 or 3 pieces, easier for them but leaves ridges and seams).

Also, because I have the Premium Package, several shops wouldn't touch it, telling me it's just too hard and there's too much liability when they have to remove the entire rear seat assembly, and the package tray (because the Bose speaker is in the way) in order to do it. Dealer quoted $440 for just the back and both rear side windows, and I'd have to leave the car there all day. Was getting discouraged, but then I went to our website, and found my man!

The total cost will be $285, and that includes the two front windows and the travel charge ($30 extra). Says it will take between 3.5-4 hours, and he won't need to disassemble the rear seats or package tray in order to do the job (it's tricky, he says, but he's done over 30 sedans already).

I live in the San Francisco Bay Area.

55 and 35 hmm thats an idea im gonna go for tints tomorrow actually and i dont wanna get whored by the cops nor do i wanna make th car look too "ghetto" anyone have a pic of 55 on the front and 35 on the back of a COUPE?
not sure how it would look on a COUPE but if anyone has a pic lemme know. Also, if anyone has 35% all around on a coupe lemme know also i'd like to see before tomorrow afternoon

hey.. speaking of which wil just did mine.. of course i had to travel to his house but my family lives there already so it was no biggie.. he did an excellent job on mine.. you'll be satisfied with his work.
