Is my Zaino still there?

Help! My wife decided to be "nice" and wash her Sequoia yesterday (because I've been working so much lately). It was the 2nd time in 3.5 years that she washed it and did not remember to use the Zaino car wash soap. Instead, she grabbed the Turtle Wax Car Wash jug that I've been using only on the rims/tires and washed the entire SUV with it.

About 2 months ago I spent 8 hours with the dawn, clay bar and Zaino steps on the Sequoia and have been washing it with Zaino car wash soap every since. It looked perfect after the last time I washed it.

So the question of the day is: Did my wife strip the Zaino off of the SUV by not using the Zaino car wash?

If so, atleast she did say it was one of my Father's Day presents.

I'm pretty sure it would take more than a different car wash soap to strip off Zaino. It takes a good cleaning with Dawn to get rid of that stuff. Hit it with the Z7 wash and then Z6 and I bet your paint will be just as slick as before.

Re:It's still there.

The Zaino wash seems to enhance the Zaino experience, but using other car wash shampoos will not strip off Zaino.

In fact Dawn won't strip of Zaino either. Dawn will remove regular carnuaba wax (which is one reason Zaino suggests Dawn as the first step in your first application of Zaino). But Zaino is a polymer sealant that will not be removed just by Dawn. It's still there.

You should be able to tell by slickness of paint, the shine, and beading.

Re:It's still there.

Thanks for the inputs guys. I've been at work for the last 11 hours and haven't had a chance to see it yet. Hopefully you all are right and I won't have to re-do the whole process.
