My Toughest Detail Yet =/

Over the weekend, I had the pleasure of detailing my GF's brother's Ford Ranger. Yeah, I know that four-letter word isn't a favorite among many members on here, but I though I'd share my experience with yous guys So anyways, he asked me last week if I'd be willing to do fix up the paint for him, since it was HEAVILY oxidized and had more scratches then a DJ has on Saturday night I have to say I was a little skeptical at first since this truck looked like it had never been waxed, but I figured I'd give it a shot with the Cyclo.

So I started off with a wash using Dawn Dishwashing soap and then clayed the truck, then washed again.

See the before pics below

50/50 Shot with Poorboy's SSR2.5 and green pads:

After using the Poorboys SSR 2.5 with a green pad for 4 hours:

I then broke out the Menzerna Final Polish II and paired it with white pads Here are some "After" pics after using Menzerna Final Polish II for 3 hours and Migliore Original

All in all I must say I'm pleased with the results. Hacked away at it for a total of about 10 hours over two days. I love the deep wet look the Migliore gives us darker colors I ended up applying Migliore Bella Lustra Tire Glaze after the pics were taken too.

Oh, and all I charged him was a couple of cheeseburgers

What do you guys think?

Haha nah it wasn't. Most likely gonna remove it this weekend though. That's pretty much the only eyesore on the truck now

Great job man. Every time I see detail pics, I want to get my car clean again. I'll get on it in about a week, but kudos to you.

Btw, you have a sweet G37.
