Debadge problems...
Ok so I had already debadged my car once when I first got it, and just left the mt fuji emblem. No problems. Today I decide to remove the mt fuji, so I do the same process: heat, fishing string, goo gone, buff with polish and wax. I still cant get rid of the outline, and after looking closer, it almost looks like the paint has very small chips all along the edge of where the emblem was.
Anybody have a way to fix this or an idea as to why it happened??

i used menz ip. i just dont know if polishing is even going to work since it looks like paint is actually gone. i may just go get it touched up at a body shop. here are some pics. its hard to see it from a distance, thats why you can barely see it in the second pic. (if anyone has tips on how to make it larger in photobucket, please share) haha

ok i have a theory. i know my car had minor collision damage in the rear before i bought it. do you think that the body shop that did the work reapplied the badge on paint that wasnt fully dry? and thats why it came off?

Use something like Mothers Scratch Remover or Meguiars Scratch X... They are a bit aggressive than the normal polish...
Followed by a sealer and a coat of wax...
Not sure why people debage though. Looks a little empty back there.

Mine looks exactly the same. I'm gonna detail the car in one of the next weekends, wash, clay, swirl x, wax. Also got scratch x for the trunk. I'll let you know how it works. If something has already worked for you please let me know. Thanks!
Before I'd add to the problem with touch up paint try using clay, if you can feel it that may take it off. If not a high speed buffer and compound will remove those outlines. You may have to find a detail shop to do that for ya if the clay hasn't worked.

i have the same problem, it seems to be the clear coat.. because i took a bit off... but the surface of the area feels super smooth.. feel like it still has clear coat... although i took some out.
