micro-scratches from debadging

Today I went ahead and took of my "G35" emblem from the trunk lid, after all is said and done now the paint is kinda hazy from all the microscratches from my thumb/finger nails scraping the sticky stuff off.

Do I need to polish this(yes, I know it would be best)? Or can I get away with just throwing some wax on it to minimize the appearance?

The answer depends on you, do you want your trunk lid looking like the emblems were never there without scratches or are you happy with the way it looks? Wax won't get the job done, buy 3M Scratch Remover. It may take a couple applications but it will remove the scratches. Didn't you use GooGone or WD40 to saturate the area several times to remove the glue? That's the right way....Gary

I used PLENTY of Googone, it still took my thumbnail to get some of the thicker areas off and some smaller specks that didn't wipe away.
