Question Brake dust stains! Acid wash them??

No probs on the outside of the rims...however, no matter what I use on the inside I can't get the spots of what appears to be caked on brake dust off. Last time I took it to be serviced they gave it back to me and the rims looked like brand new. The guy who delivered it to me told me that the best thing for caked on brake dust is a mild acid solution (a secret of professional detailers) and as long as it isn't too strong and It gets rinsed right of way it is safe to use. So my question is what percent of water to muriatic acid to use? I spent prob a good two hours working on these spots and although they look a little better, still way too much there to use normal techniques.

Lightbulb how 'bout...

vinegar is mild enough for paint and clear coat, and it should be mild enough for wheels as well. works great on water spots, brake dust might be a little tougher.

Um... how much did what cost me? The gallon af acid was only like 3.00. If you are talking about the detail...My dealership does it for me for free whenever I have it in for work. They do a great job there, and yes I've read the posts about how no-one lets the dealership was their cars. I've never had a prob so. Anyway back to the acid and brake dust question. I got news for ya, I tried a tad of gasoline, that didn't really work either so I doubt mild vinegar will work.
