Washed Car..got streaks

My car has been quite filthy and dirty since I havent washed it in a few weeks and I just made a recent trip down 95 to Richmond. I figured I'd wash it real quick last just to get the grime and bugs off the top layer. Usually I would take 2-3 hours to wash the car but I just went over the car once with soap. After drying the car I noticed random streaks (kinda like ones you would see on your window after using windex) around the car..kinda annoying. They are clearly visible at certain angles. I was wondering if i got them because I washed the car too fast, not enough soap, not enough rinsing? Anyways, have any of you all had the same problem and if so what is the best way to remedy this. Thanks.

Did you wash the car in the sun?

definitely wash your car when it's cool to the touch. and don't soap the entire car then rinse. i soap up parts of the car and rinse the soap off and i make sure all panels remain wet while i finish the rest of the car off. once that soap dries i'm assuming that's why you're seeing streaks.

I didnt wash it in the sun. But I did soap most of the car then rinsed it off. I guess that is why i got streaks on certain areas of the car. Now more importantly, do i have to wait to wash the car again to get them off? Or is there a way I can get them off now?

A quick detail spray will get them out.

There shouldn't be any streaking if you got all the soap off with the final rinse...
