Zaino Wax..

Ok my car is black and was starting to see very fine scratches and such.. Only had the car about a month and i did not do anything that would cause this.. So I decided it was time for Zaino.. I used dawn to wash then Z-5 to polish and Z-6 after.. After a few coats WOW.. The paint was perfect!!! No scratches blemishes NOTHING!! It look better then the day I got it.. So anyone useing anything other then this stuff is CRAZY!! This is the best stuff I ever used PERIOD!!! Just for a lil info for you guys who are undecided...

Re: Zaino Wax..

Keep adding coats, it looks even better after two or three (deeper and glossier). When you're done getting the scratches the way you want them, switch to Z2 for an even better shine.

Re: Zaino Wax..

When you viewed the paint, what were the lighting conditions? Sunlight or halogen?

If you always do what you always did you will always get what you always got.

Re: Zaino Wax..

My G has 2000 miles on it and I worked on it in the garage with halogens on it. It looked like someone took sandpaper to it. I Z'd it and in the sunlight it looks like liquid black, but under the halogens, HORRRRIIBBBBLLEE... Swirls, haze etc.. I am sure a lot of it is from the dealer, but I did not fix (new at detailing).

If you always do what you always did you will always get what you always got.

Cure: Dawn, Clay Bar, Z5, Z6, Z5, Z6, Z2, Z6, Z7, Z6. Cold shower for owner, to avoid any embarrassment in front of the neighbours.

Re: Zaino Wax..

question for you: how long should you wait after you get the G to apply the first wax job?

From reading other posts and experiences on this, I am planning to wait 3 months before Zainoing the first time.

Re: Zaino Wax..

You can do it right away. The paint is baked on at the factory- only after you get it repainted to you need to wait for a "curing" process. Depending on how long your G sat out on the lot, it'd also not be too bad of an idea to get some good protection on there. I put Crystal Guard on about a week after I got it, and I've not regretted it.

Re: Zaino Wax..

Will do, placing my order for Zaino today. The only time I have it in the sun is on the way to work; both work and home have garages, so sun dmg is minimal. Is the Total Protection Show Car kit the thing to get? It looks like most (except the ZFX) is in the kit.

Re: Zaino Wax..

This may seem like a stupid question but I'm confused about Zaino.

From reading Zaino's website, Zaino seems to be just a polish. Don't we need a wax to protect our cars also? I am interested in Zaino but does it protect the paint also or does it just polish it? I know it says it offers UV protection but what about protection from bird droppings, bugs, acid rain, road grime.........??

Re: Zaino Wax..

It protects the paint, better than wax. The surface stays smooth longer than wax, water will keep beading for weeks if not months. This is a quote for the Z2 polish:
<blockquote><font class="small">In reply to:</font><hr>

Z-2™ Show Car Polish will give your car's paint finish total environmental protection and a show car shine. It is the only protection your car's paint will ever need. Z-2™ Show Car Polish offers more protection than any wax in the industry. Nothing sticks to Z-2™ Show Car Polish. It will outperform, out protect, outshine and outlast anything on the market today. Guaranteed!
