Eagle One Wax As You Dry - new formula rocks

There is a new formulation out now. Just picked it up this weekend. It's now in a blue bottle. I typically do a real wax 3 times a year with Eagle One Nanowax, then just wash the car and spray Wax As You Dry before I wipe. The new formulation shines like mad and is just as simple. You can feel the wax while you're drying the car. I didn't think there would be a big difference, but the car ends up looking just awesome.

Something this easy shouldn't look that good. Looks MUCH better than the Meguiar's NXT that my friend uses on his TL. Of course, it might be partly the car. He he.

This is surprising... The first time I used that stuff (in the red bottle) I think I threw it in the garbage about 15 min after using it. I think my issue was the fact that after spraying it on it took too much effort to get it off. Has this changed? I've been using the Meguiars since but willing to try the Eagle One again if people swear by it.

I've had very bad luck with the Eagle One product line but would also like to know more about this product. I'm open minded to trying new things but I have found another spray on product that would be difficult to surpass. Best spray on product I have ever used by far is the Menzerna High Gloss Acrylic Shield. This stuff is amazing it will give you up to two months worth of protection and amazing shine. It's basically like a fine liquid version of Menzerna Full Molecular Jacket, which is one of the premier sealants available in the world right now. The High Gloss Acrylic Shield is easy to apply and leaves a remarkable shine.

I want to give the new Eagle WAUD a try too - I've heard good things about it at Autopia. Menzerna HGAS and Optimum spray on wax are going to be tough to beat, though.

Alright... I'm testing this stuff... Both the old formula and the new.

I tested the old formula this morning. Not to bad... Adds a "simple" shine after wash, similar to using a quick detail after washing. Here's my complaints:

1) If this stuff gets on windows, they will haze (not bad if you use a window cleaner after washing, like Stoners)
2) Increase the amount of MF towels you use in one wash (the formula seems to give the MF towels a more sponge like quality as they soak up EVERYTHING, requiring 2-3 more towels than normal.
3) Do not use in the heat... DRY's QUICK!
4) The bottle I used was a trial bottle (probably 8oz.) I used the entire bottle and didn't even get to the roof. Thus, I would expect you would get about 4-5 uses out of the big bottle.

I picked up the new formula today and will be trying that out later in the week. I'll let everyone if I see a difference, good or bad.

EDIT: I would be cautious using this on a black G. I think you would see streaks and maybe some haze. Anyone with a black G willing to try???

I have never tried any of the WAUD formulas. I've always been a big fan of a good wax job, followed by detailing spray after washes.
I recently purchased the new SONUS detailing spray, which works with both carnauba and synthetic waxes, and I must say the stuff is great.

I usually use Klasse AIO/SG followed by several coats of P21S wax. I have always found this combination to give excellent results. The P21S does not stand up to well to the elements, so it requires re-application every 3-4 weeks. But since I top the wax with the SONUS it holds up ten times better. The shine and slickness of the finish lasts forever, and the water beads and rolls right off after every rain/washing.

I think for the money its a real asset to anyones' car detailing regiment.

And the results are... Eagle One WAUD New Formula . A++++

So here goes:

Last week I applied the old formula. I was happy with it, but not thrilled (see other post). While spraying off my car today before washing, I could tell the product was still on the car providing protection (nice beading action).

Today I tried the new formula and.... Eagle One has IMPROVED this product. It appears as if the new formula contains more wax than it did. Simply spray on before you dry and then dry your car with a microfiber. The water comes right off your car. You can feel the wax on the car (very smooth). The shine is great. It sure beats applying "most" quick detailers or spray on waxes after washing.

I will definitely continue using this product during every wash. The most dreadful part of washing a car is drying it (in my opinion). Now, drying is actually fun. It's amazing at how this stuff works!!

So be sure to pick some up... The one in the BLUE bottle. It's definitely worth it.

That's it... I need a beer now

Based upon this thread, I bought some yesterday and tried it:

I put a coat of NXT Liquid wax on last Sunday. It rained here yesterday morning and I had some dirt on the car (Black) as a result. I had time to kill between appointments so I stopped and picked up the Eagle One WAUD. After going to a do-it-your self car wash and just spraying the dirt off with just the water rinse, I sprayed on the WAUD. The car was still VERY wet since I couldn't use a hose to sheet the water off. Anyway, I used 6 small microfiber towels to dry the car. I followed the instructions and only sprayed one or two times per panel. When the car was dry it looked GREAT. The stuff was easy to use and would have been easier if the car was a little drier to begin with. However, since I just waxed with the NXT 4 days earlier, I don't know how much the WAUD really did. I can say this: The car was obviously just waxed smooth and had a great shine. The shine ordinarily left by just NXT looked to be slightly enhanced but certainly was not reduced. That is more than enough of a result for me, considering how easy it is to use. I'll follow up in a few weeks and let you know if there is any change in my opinion.

Nice. Looks like the new formula is a winner. I have a gallon of Optimum Spray Car Wax here, so it will be awhile before I can try some, but its cool that there is an off the rack spray on wax that works well.

Thumbs up

The other bonus is that it costs about $6. Since, per recommendations, you aren't supposed to spray more than 1-2 times per panel, it should last for quite some time.

Completely Agree! It doesn't beat Zaino, but for around $5 a bottle, you can't go wrong with this stuff.
