Permaplate and Zaino???
Permaplate and Zaino???
Unfortunately before I discovered this forum and read through the helpful advice, I had a permaplate paintguard applied professionally to my G35. I don't know the exact technology that is involved with the wax, but I do know that Zaino sounds better. Can I apply Zaino on top of the permaplate or will it not adhere properly? If I can't use Zaino, is there another polish that I can put on the car to keep in shiny, or should I just use the renewer that comes with the permaplate system?

Re: Permaplate and Zaino???
That is an excellent question! I wish I had an exact answer for you.
One way to remove the product is to take it to a detail shop, and have them "buff" it off . . may not be the cheapest, but it would work.
I'll have to ask around . . .

It's nothing but a silicone based wax/polish. Wash the car a couple of times with Dawn dish soap and it will be gone. If you are unsure of that, wipe the car down with a automotive paint prep solvent. That's what the bodyshops have to do before any repainting after a collision repair.
