Intake Filter and Washing the G
Intake Filter and Washing the G
Does it matter if you get the intake filter wet? Do I really need to cover it up just to wash my car? If I do get it wet, can I drive it right away with it still wet? Sorry to ask a ?dumb? question. Thanks in advance
How would you get your intake filter wet just by washing the car?
Is it an OEM filter? If it did get wet somehow, probably not a huge deal....but if there was a lot of water...enough to get past your filter & up your air duct, probably not a good thing.
Just keep your hood CLOSED & wash your car!

ok sounds good. I thought maybe it would go through the front grill and into the filter. I must be silly. Thanks so much for the help bro. Appreciate it. These forums rock!
In case anyone was wondering, I just went through one of those touchless carwashes that powerwashes right into the area where your CAI filter sits if you have one. Luckily, I have a K&N Drycharger Wrap on there and it held up great! I was kinda scared it wouldn't and get hydrolocked cuz those damn powerwasher machines are pretty powerful. Something to consider getting if you do get a CAI.
