Absolutely. The point of waxing a car is not only to beautify it but to protect it from the elements. Waxing will help your paint resist UV rays so it is less prone to fading and oxidation, it'll protect from water spots and acid rain by beading water off the paint - it'll made bird droppings and general contaminants (dust, dirt, road grime) easier to clean off...

Aside from that I think there are more than one wax/sealant that looks greaton white, especially IP. The flake in IP can really pop when it's done right. My favorite waxes on white (personal opinion only here) are P21S/S200 or Clearkote Carnuaba. Sealants, I like Poorboys EX-P and Menzera FMJ.

Cheers.

Well there was to point to waxing the old Alum. Oxide cars. But those are gone.

There is no such thing as a "white" car anymore. Clearcoats will yellow, grey, or brown, w/o UV protection ext. so thats the point.

I am a big fan of Poorboys EX-P sealant, or Clearkote Carnuba. Also you can try Meguiar's DACP and Speed Glaze as a good polish / sealant combo.

I've detailed many white cars and some of my all time favoirte products are the Menzerna Full Molecular Jacket (FMJ) or the Poorboy's World EX-P and then I top it off with a coat of the P21S Carnauba Wax. The sealants FMJ and EX-P give you great protection and a ridiculous shine. The P21S gives you the deep "wet" look thats really hard to get out of lighter colors. All of the above products are super easy to apply and remove and don't require much product at all so they last long as well.

And waxing isn't just for the glow on IP.

It's really overcast today with very little sunshine and I can still see relfections of white, billowing clouds in my IP.

This was an overcast day as well and you can still see the glow. I only use Zaino's Z7 wash, Z2 polish and Z8 gloss enhancer spray.

Here's my IP. I washed it the night before the show and put on 2 coats of Meguires NXT gen liquid wax (took about an hour to wash/wax), drove 100 miles then wiped it down with NXT spray wax and this was the result. Just goes to show that you dont need to spend that much time to get an awesome shine. I know the NXT doesnt last as long as poorboys and menzerna and zaino but hey, it gets the job done.
