Hey guys!

Hope everyone is having a great weekend.

I wanted to buy either the BERKS HFC or FI HFC, but I am really nervous about having it installed on my 08 Sedan.

Has anyone done it or recommend a shop that will know what they are doing?

Thanks a bunch!

I guess I would first ask why you're just wanting to replace the stock cat with a HFC without doing anything else?

Next, why are you nervous about installing them on your 08 Sedan? If there are aftermarket parts available for your G then there should be no problems with installation. A HFC isn't going to void your warranty unless it can be proven that the HFC caused the damage...

I have 2 Kinetix HFC's that I've never had any problem with after 35k+ boosted miles and never had any warranty problems while I was still under warranty...

I am not very mechanically inclined and I wanted to know if anyone trusted a reputable DFW shop or person to help me.

Secondly, I love the sound of the HFC's on 07+ on stock exhaust. As I move on i will add a catback, but I heard a clip with HFC's and loved it.

I would remove the resonators and put in straight pipes, BUT nobody has done that with or w/o success.

What do you think?

Thanks buddy.

I'm not sure how many 07+ sedans we have on the DFW forums, not many I don't think. As far as finding out if anyone has had success removing the resonators, I would suggest venturing out into the G35 Sedan '07+ forum or maybe the Intake & Exhaust forum and see what others have done/tried.

The work itself should be pretty trivial for any exhaust shop ... or you could always try a place like GS Motorsports in Irving...

I just installed my Berk HFC's on Staurday. I have a 08 Sedan. Love it. Some metalic sound from the cats but over all great..

Does your car smell like gas with these on Anmvq?

Not sure I have not had my car since my last post on here. I started having some serious drivability issue and took the car to the dealer and they have had it since. I'm going tomorrow test drive the car to see if the the issue is fixed.. IE they said the cats were the problem. Check out my long azz thread on here.. Serious Hesitation..
