so here's my story. sold him a set of 06 headlights less than a month ago, tracked it and showed that he received it but didn't hear from him. so I checked to make sure that he did receive it because UPS says that it has been delivered. He replied and said that he received them and that he will be installing them the following day.

so today, I get an email from paypal saying that "poptarts" has disputed the charges and now paypal has put a negative on my account, which obviously is not funded and im in such a tight bind right now I cannot front the money that he disputed even if I wanted to.

I have made an attempt for him to make it right but he seems to be ignoring me as he has already logged on and have not heard from him yet. I dont mind the dispute if he will send me my headlights back, but dont STEAL them by keeping the headlights AND disputing the charges.

I guess what I'm asking for help for is if anyone knows him personally, please help me tell him to make this right. thank you guys.

 

the guy is from Lubbock and I just spoke to him about this thread. He said he'll be on here or be in touch with you. I don't know him personally, just through the forum since I was interested in part he was selling. I hope you guys work this out. That is a pain!

well guys... as of 10:26 this evening, he logged on driver, AGAIN, and still has not contacted me. This was the message I wrote him:

eldgebroni, just saw your negative rating on poptarts as well...I feel your pain. I bought something from him on the 27th of Dec. Despite repeated claims that he would ship it, he never did. I finally disputed the charge this morning as I've had enough of calling and messaging the guy.

I imagine poptarts is a well-meaning kid going through some trouble, but there is no justification for his irresponsiveness. I hope everything works out for you eldgebroni.

Does G35driver have a listing of paypal ID's for those who have scammed members? If not, that could help mitigate some scamming. Won't be a panacea, but it may help.
