[DFW] What have you done to your G Today?
#5941
Some studies have shown that some older cars need to have their fuel systems updated due to the alcohol content drying seals and hoses in the fuel system, but ours are new enough that we won't have that issue. Our cars use newer technology that is made for using ethanol based fuels.
Other than that, just remember how much you'll use. You can count on using about 30% more fuel than pump gas. If you boost, plan on using quite a bit of fuel. That means a much bigger fuel pump(s), and lines, as well as injectors.
The benefits however... IMHO, are worth it if its not your daily.. E85 is sick.. Smells great, you can boost WAY more. If I was boosting a G35 that wasn't my daily, and price wasn't in the equation, I wouldn't even think twice.

Just remember that an E85 tune will be different than any map you already have. I would do the switch to E85 and Steve's shop, and then have hime tune it before it ever hits the street. I would do some calculations as well to make sure that the Walboro 255 and 600cc injectors would be enough too.. You may need 2 Walboro's, and some 1000cc's. Shoot Steve and email, and ask what he thinks. He knows the VQ pretty well, and should know off the top of his head what you would need. steve@kantuning.com

also now that you put new fans in put the old control module back in and see if it still does the same thing. If it does than its something sending the signal to it. Something probly shorted sending the signal to the control module to have the fans running constantly and burned up the fans

yeah I still need to install the radiator and run the car. I also read that even if the battery is removed and power is drained, the car will hold all codes, temps, and anything related to the ECU until the car is restarted and runs a full diag...
The radiator will be here friday and hopefully I'll be able to figure everything out.
