Performance in almost any terrain, considering it's an all-terrain tire

My friend has some too and they fair pretty well in the mud considering there's less bite in the sidewall.

Yup. Dallas Frame and Alignment is great. Just a little far away for me, and more expensive than Cobb.... They are really good though.

Those are probably two of my least favorite tires. I would recommend Hankook Ventus V12 Evo if you are looking at tires like that. Great price, and a lot better than most people think. I had both the FK451, FK452, and Nitto NT555's, and out of the 10-12 performance tires I have tried, these are my least favorite. It sounds like others like the Nitto's, but I was not impressed when I had them.

By most accounts the RT-615 is supposed to be a better tire than the FK452 in terms of performance, and the Invo is on par with the NT555 in terms of performance, and the Hankook blew both out of the water in the above test. I also like the S-Drives (have them now), the KDW's (last set), and RE-760 (have not had these yet) that also beat out the Nitto and Falken tires in this test. I have had all of the above with the exception of the RE760's, and I think they all beat out the FK452's (ok performance, horrible wear, not so great wet), and Nitto's (not as good dry performance, average everywhere else).

Here is the full tire test I referenced above. Other similar tests have been done with similar results. The benchmark for the C&D test is the PS2....

The ONLY complain I have with Dallas Frame and Alignment is that they are closed on Saturdays and Sundays.

another good tire thats pretty new in the market is the Continental ExtremeContact DW.

Don't confuse it for DWS...

linked is for a 235/40 18 since thats what I have on the Audi. But they are phenomenal

Yes, it is a good tire also.... Seems to have really good reviews, testing, and feedback.

For all-around tires (that can handle some rain) I think the following are the best at their respective price points:
Michelin PS2 ($$$)
Conti ExtremeContact DW ($$)
Hankook Ventus V12 Evo ($)

After the above, I would rate the following all pretty similar with various strengths and weaknesses:
BFG KDW2 ($$)
Bridgestone RE760 ($$)
General Exclaim UHP ($)
Yokohama S-Drives ($$)

I have had all of the above except the RE760's, ExtremeContact DW's, and Exclaim UHP's. In addition, I have had Sumitomo HTR, Kuhmo Escata and ASX, Nitto NT-555, Falken FK-451/452, and I am sure one or two that I am forgetting. The rest just don't make the cut for me....

Note: Some of the Dunlop Star Spec tires have tested really well, but I don't have any real knowledge or experience with these, so they are not included. They are also limited in sizes. I know a lot of people like Toyo T1's, but again I don't have any first hand knowledge or experience, so I left them off. I had and liked Bridgestone S-03's, but they don't make them anymore, and I have not tried the replacements they offer. I did not care for the Bridgestone RE-050 that came stock on the G37 (it may be the closest to the S-03).

For all out summer tires (no rain):
Bridgestone RE-11 ($$$)
Advan AD08 ($$$)

I have had a lot of tires in my life. I hope this helps someone....

I personally would trust Josh's experience over any magazine review (especially C&D) and I personally have never owned a set of NT555s, but have had so many friends with them back in the day and all really enjoyed them. That's the only basis of my opinion.

I haven't had such a run of tires like Mr. Josh. I've run some Kuhmo's and that one set of Dunlops and have been happy with each.
