[DFW] What have you done to your G Today?
Its a 4.8/5.3 truck block, the main difference is just the stroke to take it from 4.8 or 5.3 bore is the same. Ill have it bored out to an ls1 and put in a 4.00" crank, this build should take me to a 383. Im super excited.
take the crank and bore it to 44.3 that will take you down to 334 but in turn it will bring up the shaft size to 2.5 which will give you a lot more tq.
the problem with people getting these blocks are that the bore sizes are standard to 3.4 liter blocks, so when you bore it from 4.3 to 5.8 or vice versa, they dont get the results they want. i did some research and found that putting a 3.4" crank in will reduce the friction on the crow-wing, which will in turn get the input controllable to where the user or owner can stroke the bore to 4.3 without harming the crossbar.
Just make sure you look at the chapter on bore sizes for the ls6, which i think is starting on page 44... if you dont read through that you may run into some issues with the different sizes of the labor-ready triangular arc.
let me know if you need any help.

Well the revs are going to be around 5500 which is unfortunate, the rods have to be 6" too... Any shorter and my power curve is gonna suck. Im still doing some research tho but I should be easily boostable.
I have 6. already had them from before when I was planning on boosting again.....
