I have a 10" Kicker sub in the trunk and it sounds great and can handle all the bass that I feed to it.
As for in the cabin - I have Polk DB6501 components in the front and I think they sound great (especially for the price). They swap in perfectly (both the main speaker and the tweeter) and didn't require any custom fabbing or modification. I'm even using the OEM Bose headunit and they still sound great. I know that if I ever put in an aftermarket HU they will sound even better.

From the outside there isn't any bumping really (other than some very very mild rattling on the license plate, but I tightened that down). However, there is some rattling from my rear deck panel (the panel below the back window that's over the rear speakers). Infiniti didn't do the greatest job in my opinion of mounting that down and it really needs to be padded to avoid rattling noises. This will be especially true for you with 2 subs.
Most people take out the rear 6x9 speakers and only go with the rear side speakers. I've thought about doing that as well, but that's another project for another day.

The 4080 enclosure is the best option in my opinion because you get a lot of bass but still can keep the trunk. I have the Infinity Reference components in the front doors with a 10" JL W3 sub powered by a Precision Power 350W amp. All of it is running off the stock Bose head unit and the Infinity speakers are still powered from the Bose amp.
The sound quality for this simple of a setup is simply amazing. There is no need to get a lot of equipment to get excellent sound out of our cars. I have been into the car audio industry for a very long time and have had every kind of setup you could think about and this one is by far the best and ironically it was the cheapest!
Chris I thought you had MB Quarts in your car??
