Focal price list? Did I miss something. Is it something for DFW G3 Members only? If so, clue me in with a PM.

Thanks,

Jeff

Here's the deal. They cannot publish a price list or they would loose their license to sell Focal. Go to http://www.grubbsperformance.com and at the top of the page go to the search tab. Type in Focal and you can see a list of what they can get and the list price. Then just call to get the best price.

I'm running with the Utopia 180W in the rear and the Utopia 165W in the fronts in the factory locations. Only a slight mod is needed to the front brackets to install them.

What would you recommend for a front 6.5" component set from Dynaudio?

In my past BMW's those are the speakers that I used and they did sound pretty darn good. Since i bought this car and it was a few grand less than the BMW I had some extra cash and decided to go all out for the speakers.

My main hobby is Audio/Video in fact I built my house around my Home Theater. My ears have alwys been very critical to accurate sound and I don't think you can beat the focals. Of course everyone is differrent, I was a drummer in a band for many years and I listen for certain sounds.

You should put the greatest amout of money dedicated to your sound system into your speakers. That is after all where the end result comes from the sound. Let your ears be your guide. If you can't tell the difference between a $300 pair of speakers and a $5000 pair get the $300 ones.

If you are planning a full blown system for either your home or car set half your budget on your speakers....

MB Quart are the best bang for the buck. Dynaudios no doubt are the best. I put 200 watts each into my front components and all my car audio friends got hooked on Dyns.

Moog, it's been awhile but whatever the Dynudio components have out it'll be the best. They even use the same speakers for home audio. The only problem is that the company is from Denmark I believe and since it is Euro, everything is in meters so their "normal" 6.5" speaker is a 5.5" so you have to make a adapter to fit the 5.5" in your door housing. The voice coil for their speakers are freaking 3".......same size as a sub so the sound quality is amazing! Just ask around.

Thanks for the heads up Hugh, I plan on getting just a decent set of components for the front and just a single 10" sub for my whole system. Nothing too crazy *cough* theeggman1 *cough* .

I am still wondering about the sound out of that 4080 box. I haven't seen anyone local with it. You should do the 2 15 setup like this.

That's just plain badass

Badass - yes

But I think I will go w/ the 4080 box eventually. The guy lives in Houston, so I might drive down there to pick it up.

I wish he made a matching on on the opposite site but he said it has to do something about the fuel thingy taking a little bit of space into the 4080 if he did make one. The box will be a little bit smaller but I wouldn't mind if one sub was thumping a little louder than then other if I had a clean setup. No more slamming your G and kit like that black one? It'll look dope.
