Smile second time at the track =)

Hey everyone, I went to Infineon raceway last night and did better than I expected. But I had a horrible time going home, I was stuck in traffic for an hour and a half . My fastest for the night was on my third run 14.386@ 97.57

2004 premium sedan w/ 1/4 gas

Mods: gen 1 stillen catback, kinetix hfc, z-tube, 5/16 motordyne spacer, 17 stock w/ yoko yk520 215/55 30psi.

I got in 5 runs:

brktq 800
2.247 60'
6.159 330'
9.364 @ 76.45 1/8th mi
12.126 1000'
14.449@ 97.22 1/4mi

brktq 1000
2.244 60'
6.168 330'
9.375 @ 76.41 1/8th mi
12.138 1000'
14.456 @ 97.44 1/4mi

brktq 1500
2.239 60'
6.141 330'
9.330 @ 76.81 1/8th mi
12.079 1000'
14.386 @ 97.57 1/4mi

brktq 1200
2.245 60'
6.139 330'
9.344 @ 76.60 1/8th mi
12.098 1000'
14.409 @ 97.58 1/4mi

brktq 1800 too much wheel spin =(
2.328 60'
6.211 330'
9.384 @ 77.34 1/8th mi
12.113 1000'
14.407 @ 98.23 1/4mi

I'd love to do more to the car, but it's my gf's car now. I got an 08 tundra =) and it ran a 14.6 with intake and exhaust. Back on topic, for the last run I think it could be in the 14.2? if I dropped the 60' more. I feel like going again =) with different tires.

Thanks for looking!

Not bad for the second time around. 60' could use a little improvement but that comes with practice and you're pretty consistent. What was the DA if I may ask?

Yea, I can't seem to get my 60' down to 2.1 =(.

How would I find out what the DA is? The temp was 74, relative humidity was 12, and baro was 29.66.

I think the DA is 1,187.5, just searched it online. The slips doesn't say it.

According to the National Weather Service you were running under near perfect conditions. Your DA calculates to well below sea level. The track is already only at 177ft at it's highest point.

I used the baro pressure, humidity and temp times from 9pm.

Corrected, your time would actually be slower and ET would be lower.

DA at 8pm was -315 feet
DA at 9pm was -835 feet

The temp dropped by almost 10 degrees in that hour.

Like that? so my times were actually slower? I left the track at 6pm and it probably doesn't matter =(.

When most people use DA to recalc their times it's because they are in higher elevations. When the relative density is at 100 or above it's like they are running in a lower elevation. Basically it's a way to make sure everyone is playing on the same level. Someone who runs 13's in higher elevation may actually run 12's at sea level.

I adjusted the time for say 5pm at the track and your DA at that time was 430 feet. So your times were actually a little better.

Corrected they would be 14.35 @ 97.77

^^ That's better than the one I was using. The NWS uses mostly airports. This one actually uses the conditions at the track.

I always forget something, it's an auto. I left it in 2nd and shifted to 3rd. I did bounce off the rev limiter once.
