lol but the challenge fails miserably(as they all do)

turning just feels much more fluid with rwd, i'd like something that revs higher though, something fun about keeping a car between 7000 and 8600 rpms while flying down a twisty backroad...i guess that means i want an s2000 or something with a vq35hr

RWD is more fun, BUT, most people here have automatics. LOL Which isn't all that fun if you ask me.

How many cars in that video were automatic? Pretty sure they were all manual. Since the cars are from europe?

Can you drift in an automatic?

yes you can drift in an automatic, i do in my G and the top gear vids the manuals are because there old banger cars lol, if you look at there upper scale challenges like the Aston martin vs train or Bugatti veyron vs plane etc there are alot of autos on the show since alot use double clutches now

and they frequently drift autos and love it i cant wait for the 15th season also, i have watched all episodes love them, hope they review the Infiniti G37 in the coming season.

also remember the US version has begun production with the help of Jezzer and the crew so hopefully it will actually be a good version of top gear and not just a "Dodge rulz" piece o crap lol

riiiiiight.....

the only V6 honda makes that the QR25 could embarass would be the 94-97 accord or something in a truck or suv...although im pretty sure the newer pilot/mdx/odyssey would waste it with a cloud of high 15 second glory.

at best it runs even with the 98-02 200hp 3.0

seriously wtf are you talking about

would swaping the 3.5 or 3.7 change the fuel economy alot?? and where can i find a 3.5 or 3.7 gear ratio???

I doubt you would notice a difference with fuel economy. The G37's come with the 3.7's. I think the later model autos had the 3.5's, not sure about this.

idk i stayed even with an auto coupe in my rsx when all my mods were talken off..all i had was a cai and greddy sp2..in that state the rsx was probably only trapping 95-96

then of course we stopped in a turning lane and rwd pwned me around the corner

I also pulled on an older sedan from a roll in my celica gt-s with i/e

both of those cars lost to my friend's 3.5se 5 speed altima too, the gt-s lost quite badly

the only thing you can do with an auto is maybe torque brake an pull a nice 60ft...and hopefully you hold off the competition until the end of the 1/4

^You must have raced some sh**ty drivers. The g35's are not that fast of a car but the power to weight ratio beats an RSX in both HP and TQ. It does have the advantage of being a manual but
G35- 13.1 / 13.1 (2003 AT)
RSX- 13.6 / 19.5 (2006 MT)

rsx has much shoter gearing, and im talking from a roll anyway.

stock 05-06 rsx-s makes about 180whp stock...probably into the 180s with i/e

weighs 2840lbs so rsx is 15.7hp/lb, auto g35 id say makes 225ish to the wheels and weighs around 3400lbs so 15.1hp/lb. rsx has a 4.7 final drive ratio plus shorter gears

i mean just look at where the cars trap, auto g's and rsx's both trap somewhere between 95 and 97 stock for stock so from a roll its gonna be close, the celica gt-s I happen to know was making 170whp and weighed 2500lbs so thats 14.7whp/lb

a torque convertor will fail hard in a roll race

with a race header and kpro (195whp on a street tune) the rsx was hanging with/pulling in 350zs and 05+ mustang gt's, again from a roll..never got to race one from a dig

plenum spacer and test pipes...

problem with rsx's is they have awful wheel hop...broke like 3 headers and my axles...lol...fwd just sucks lol, especially with the rsx's peaky powerband, if you ever stomp the gas when its wet as soon as you hit vtec you just start spinning/hopping, can't recall the G doing that. Also if you goof up your launch you have no torque to recover and you fail. at least with something like an altima/maxima you have a little torque to help you along
