Stock Clutch Position?

Hi All,

I want to return my clutch back to the stock position (lowered it a while back with the clutch mod), but I can't remember how many turns I lowered it. Can someone tell or show me how to measure the clutch pedal so I know its in the stock position? I remember seeing a page out of a manal posted, but I can't find it anymore....

Thanks

believe its 1mm of freeplay?

that is go until it has absolutely no resistance, and there's a point where there is minor resistance (you can feel if you move it slowly) that increases as you press the pedal more.

Does that count for the free play that is already there (ie the pedal where it joins to the threaded shaft is a pin joint, and theres already some free play in there.....)

Thing is moving the clutch pedal on that threaded rod does not make the rod start moving sooner or later when you're pressing on it, it just means there is more travel of that rod, since the pedal is further out. So I don't quite understand the freeplay aspect, because I noticed the freeplay is the same in stock and the modified position I have it in now....

umm... i know that when im down there testing it with my hand, there's about 1-2mm of total free play w/ no resistance. then it hits some resistance, and then a little farther down it requires quite some effort to depress. That is just the pedal. i have not modified it at all, completely stock.

Thanks Bobalude, I've moved it out and I still have that 1 mm of freeplay, so I'm not sure thats the deal. Right now my cruise control switch is only 1/2" threaded in, I backed it out because I had screwed it in further when I did the mod.

Does anyone have the 05 service manual and can perhaps post that page that shows the clutch adjustment? I'd download the manual from the pay site, but I dont have a fast connection right now....
