AT Triptronic
I have the AT with the Triptronic, I enjoy using the Triptronic so I get to run the gears at higher RPMs to get more power. Ive noticed that Dyno records indicate there highest peak gains when comparing stock vs (whatever) at around 6K RPMs. Redline is at 6800. At which RPM level is it dangerous for the engine to run at?
you've got to be a lot more specific
asa danger... do you mean you wanna run it at redline constantly and go through a tank of oil every week or what...
there is a REV limitor on the car, it will not let you to go above it per fuel cut....

What I mean is if I wait until it hit 6K b4 I switch gears, is that harmful, or if I keep it in third at 5500-6000 RPMs is that harmful to the engine, Im basically looking for rule of thumb on the subject.
for daily driving a would highly not suggest doing so, but if you're racing (not street racing of course
) then 6k is not bad for shifting... on an mt at least, idk about the timing issues with at's though. if you wanna keep it in third at high RPMs, you'll just make yourself look like an @ss after a while... it's not worth the gas... every once in a while is aright to give your audience that sweet @ss tone, but i daily driving purposes i shift between 3-3.5k and cruise as close to 2k as possible
