5AT drain & fill...

Did a bit of searching and couldnt find what exactly I need. Looking to do a drain and refill, but cannot locate where to refill. Oil and rear diff are done and had zero problems, but the tranny seems to be a bit different. Local place (Grease Monkey) has done all my oil changes/services for the past 9-10 cars over the last 7 years or so and theyre telling me a full flush/fill is needed unless I can provide them with the info to refill.

Any help is greatly appreciated, pics are a super big plus !

Make sure you use factory fluid for the trans! It takes a special kind, that a lube place wont carry.

Quick question...........

What happens if you have "any" issues with your trans by not using the
Nissan J tranny fluid they may not cover any repairs under warranty. It's
worth it to me to spend that extra $ to ensure my trans will be covered.

Thats why I already checked with my dealership. Theyve actually already had a few cars with the same fluid.

My only thing with putting that different fluid in there is. How well will it mix and work with the factory fluid. Just a basic drain and fill still leaves alot of the stock fluid in the lines a TC. Best thing would've been to have them do a trans flush and put in the new fluid. A flush machine hold 16 quarts which could be a little expensive, but at least you know its all new fluid

The trans is one thing I don’t f-with... I want records that show I did exactly what the manufacturer recommended... I never want to deal with a transmission problem and have Infiniti tell me I serviced it improperly. Nissan Matic J ATF for me all the way!

If you are just going to drail the tranny then be sure to refill it with matic j and you will need 4 quarts. Drive it for 2 weeks and the drain it and put 4 more quarts in and it will basically be the same thing as a flush.
