hey guys, im sure you hear this a lot but im not sure what to do.
My basic warranty on the car is done, but ofcourse the transmission is still covered for a year i believe. I really think i should get the tranny replaced before that is up because the fifth gear grind is still actin up, when i told them they said its normal in my car cus of the synchros and it would be the same even if they replaced it. I sometimes get it when shiftin into third gear. The thing is after driving it awhile, it doesnt happen as much so its hard to reproduce when the tech drives it at infiniti. Should i just get at them to get me a new transmission cus im facing the problem when i drive it? i have no problem gettin nasty lol

thanks...and as far as clutch, would they replace that as part of the service or that is not covered because my warranty is done ?

 

clutch is wear and tear but my dealer was "nice" gave a clutch and tranny at 37k

 

my warranty just expired. does our transmission has a different warrenty? or you have independent one just for the transmission?

 

my 03 had the tranny replaced had wierd winning noise at 80 mph or acceleration took it in and they said the tranny was bad that year they put an 06 tranny in car is great now no problems 40k later. definitely have them replace it my warranty on my car was 4years or 60k
