AT check light and service engine soon

Welp this cant be good...was driving down the freeway this evening at about 80 mph in cruise control when all of the sudden the transmission felt like it poped out of gear (auto trans!) and engine started red lineing at rev limiter and car going no where! the service light came on the dash and nav screen so pulled over shut the car off and restarted AT check light flashed and went off and servic light remained on and car drove away fine...went approx 60 miles and still running right along normal! anyone ever had this one happen?

I'd definitely keep an eye on it and take it to the dealer if you can. That's definitely not normal at all.

I only had my check engine light come on once and its because I didn't tighten my gas cap all the way [doh!], but that was when I first got the car and I haven't had any issues since.
