Clutch noise at high RPMs -- clarification?
I purchased an '05 G35 6MT Coupe yesterday. Love the car, but considering where I came from with my last car (lightweight, turbocharged 4 cylinder) .. I wanted to make sure that what I'm experiencing isn't the warning sign of a tranny and/or clutch about to take a crap.
When I'm on the gas in the upper RPM range and push in the clutch to shift, I get noise. It is NOT the gears grinding (the shifter goes smoothly from one gear to another), and there's no problem with the gears catching or anything like that. It's just .. noisy and loud.
I've done some reading on it, and most people seem to make it sound like it's normal -- the 6MT's just have a noisy transmission, apparently -- but I wanted to double-check for my own reassurance. Is it REALLY normal? Is it nothing to worry about so long as I can continue to shift smoothly without any gear grinding issues? When should I start to be concerned?

I used to have an audi smooth as buda. When i first got my G i was really perinoid about it too, I noticed the vibration at high rpms. Its normal these cars look smooth but the manual trans is pretty unrefined in comparison to the germans.
High revs brings added fibration, almost like it can handle spinning that fast or something. It may also be something with the revup engine thats louder at high rpms. Mine is an 06 6MT.
