I just did my swap from 3.5 to 3.69 and it makes no different. RPM is still about the same. Not enough pull to where I can notice the different. If I could start over, instead of buying a new differential, I would of do an aftermarket gearing upgrade to 3.9 or something.

yeah, read the title of this thread... it's a good jump up from a 5AT 3.3diff not a 6MT 3.5diff

I need to do this swap... what models/years will work?

Does anyone know of any available? I would like to get this ASAP. Located in Ottawa ON

What Im unclear about is... Can I just grab any VLSD equipped diff from the next gen Gs? IE the 2007 G35 sedan / any G37? What about 370Zs?

Edit.. how does this look?

UP FOR SALE WE HAVE A 2011 INFINITI G37 COUPE S MODLE OEM FACTORY VLSD 6 SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION REAR DIFFERENTIAL 8K VQ37VHR. ITEM IS IN GOOD CONDITION AND FULL WORKING ORDER.THIS ITEM IS USED AND MAY SHOW SIGNS OF IMPERFECTIONS SUCH AS SURFACE SCRATCHES AND SCUFFS.

I really hope this works..I need a new diff bad.

+1 I didn't feel much of a difference going from 3.5 to 3.7 either. I want to get the most out of my 5at especially after adding the alum DS.

Drive a car with a 3.3 then one with a 3.7 you will feel the difference in acceleration if both have the same mods.

I think 3.9 or shorter is too short for a 5at if 7at it might be ok due to more acceleration gears.

Good mod

I had issues with VDC immediately after - It wasnt jerking like last time I had issues with VDC though (header install). When I went above 50 I just kind of lost acceleration, though I could still get up to at least 80 in 3rd gear.

Seemed to fix itself during my first real drive though. I started with VDC off, then I turned it back on when going 80 and found no problems. Have restarted and driven a few times since and it hasnt been an issue.

Cruise control is still good at 100. Hopefully it will be good up to 120 at least.

just reporting the difference from 3.3 gearing to 3.5 is hardly even noticeable...definitely not a major upgrade but the VLSD is amazing. I could break my tire loose and get the slip light to come on at will before, haven't been able to do that since install. Cornering is night and day

Question for all of you drivetrain gurus. So I plan on swappig my 3.3 open diff to a 3.7 vlsd this weekend.

My question is in regards to the speed sensors on the diffs. Will the new 3.7 vlsd speed sensors work ok with my 03 sedan, or will I need to swap them off my 3.3 diff onto the 3.7? I can't seem to find this in other various diff swap threads.

I had to swap my sensors, but it takes 5 minutes to do. My G is a single harness, the diff I got had 2.

Ok, I'm pretty sure my 3.7 vlsd has a single harness so hopefully it will just be plug and play.
