Finally tried my CC again and got it up to 80MPH.
Started blinking after 80MPH.

If you have a 2003-2004 I have an extra VB. I can install a shift kit and sell it to you..

Careful with that - there have been issues in the past with VB from different car not being compatible (even when same year)

okay, my mini-review of this setup...

- no, VDC/slip issues what so ever

- cc works fine below 80mph but not passed

- car's now louder in the city and quieter on the hwy

- 80mph = 3.3k rpm vs 3k w/stock 3.3fd

- pulls way more aggressive, a lot of fun. once it get's in it's sweet spot it's a BEAST.

- great mod, highly recommend

I have been doing some research on what to swap into a base Z. It currently has the 3.538 open diff.

From my research it appears the 07-08 VLSD rear will fit with the above mods. Here is my path of getting to this.

Z and G 3.538 VLSD pumpkins are the same (car-part.com interchange)
6MT Open Z Diff (3.538) will swap for 6MT VLSD pumpkin (3.538) from Z/G (common swap)
6MT VLSD from Z/G will swap into Auto G (Source: Here)
You swapped 07 Auto VLSD to 03 Auto VLSD

So going down the line they appear to all be swappable, please correct me if I am wrong

I have read through the first post and did research per my sources posted above. It all sounds right in my head but I wanted to see if you guys agree. I guess I will buy one and test it out

Well, we ordered a diff from an 08 G35 6MT Sedan that is listed as an LSD with 3.692 ratio. We will try to put it in at the end of this week

I just wanted to give a quick update

We completed the swap today

The donor diff was from a 2008 Infinity G35 6MT Sedan with VLSD

we swapped it into a 2008 Nissan 350Z Base 6MT that had the open diff

Their outside dimensions and flanges are the same. All we had to do was swap the ABS sensors. My buddy is truly impressed with how the car performs now. Here is a quick pic. More of a writeup later
