Not sure about the Z. If i had to guess there is prob one under there especially if it was softer. This mod makes it stiffer.

I was thinking that the spring is what BRINGS THE CLUTCH PEDAL BACK after you press it down? No? I must be confused. I want to know more about this - b/c it seems like something I would want to do (if it allows for better/smoother shifting) etc...

Can someone set me straight?

Thanks!

yes the spring is wat pushes the pedal back. so to me it would make sense that if the spring is removed the pedal would be softer but idk. for me i like to be able to feel the pedal the entire movement

Screw staying late... I just did it while on the job haha. Took me two hours with frequent interruptions to.. errr... do my job. With no distractions, it's about a 30 minute job for sure. I adjusted the bolt on top to eliminate any free play, and just a heads up to the people who are worried about burning their clutch-- not going to happen. You can adjust the bolt just enough to eliminate free play, and you can clearly see the cylinder not being affected.

Well I only got to pull the car out of the bay and back to my parking spot in the lot, but wow.. it feels like a normal manual transmission!! Definitely excited for the drive home today, this may actually be the best/easiest mod out there for 6mt's.

the spring helps the pedal travel in both directions... it is compressed at both extremes. Without the spring, you lose the spring's assistance and just feel the compression of the clutch pressure plate. Most manual cars I've driven operate this way, with no assist spring.

why not just put on a braided clutch line if you want a more positive clutch pedal?

Cool! I just didn't know if the 07 coupe was a 2nd gen and, if so, it would negate the mod.

Had it out for a few weeks now and still absolutely loving it, way more fun to run through the gears.
