As DT35g alluded to, if anything, this mod increases the push back from the clutch. The spring seems to work both ways, in that, it helps disengage the flywheel as well as push the clutch back, which in turn makes the clutch action very...uniform. With this mod, you can feel the engagement point of the clutch which provides better feedback and helps improve shifting.

The second DIY has a bit more of a permanent method, but the idea is the same. Essentially, you're adding a spacer to the activation points in the clutch assembly which decreases the pedal travel. I have it and like it, but I suggest following the less permanent solution first to see if it's something you like before going the permanent route.

^^ Thanks, im gonna give this a try to. Dont think ive ever really noticed the extra travel until i read this thread. lol, now im excited about going for it. Its these little mods that make the love for driving my G stronger every day! Hahaha.

I hear ya man! That's why I love this forum as well as the car. I never would have thought to take out that spring if it hadn't been for G35driver. Plus, the best mods are the ones that only take a little bit of elbow grease and know-how.

Just an update, its been a couple months now and my clutch still feels great. No issues what so ever and ive transitioned from the warm weather to the cold since doing it. Hope people are still benefiting from this!
