Its time for 3.5 or 3.6 rear gearing !!!
You need to get one from a 6MT.
I know with mustangs, final drive swaps are a $200-300 job, so they are common. Speedometer pickup is electronic and off the trans and there are plenty of handheld tuners or custom tunes that can recall the speedo for final drive ratio, and different size tires.

Maybe demand hasn't quite given a reason fpr that support to develop for the g35/350z ?
I think the reason nobody much messes with reprogramming for a new FD is because the speedometer works off the wss instead of the way a lot of other cars use the vss so if you change the FD on say an F-body, the speedometer is off, whereas if you change FD on a Z or G, you just lose cruise control, but the speedometer is still accurate

True, but that would drive me nuts. To me, that's a half-*** mod if you can't do it right....even if it's just cruise control.
^Oh trust me, I agree.
Especially with the G35. If it was a track built 350z and you lost cc, big freakin woop.. but with a luxury sport sedan/coupe it should have cruise control.

2003-2006 AWD cars use 3.5 gearing. The 2007+ awd uses 3.7.
The short version. There are two different points from which the car calculates MPH, the wheel speed sensors on the differential and sensor on the driveshaft. The ECU compares the values, though we believe the true calculation comes from the wheel speed sensors because when you add gears, there's no speedometer error. If you change the gears, the sensor value on the driveshaft doesn't match up with that of the wheel sensors. If the difference becomes too great, the CC thinks there's a problem therefore it won't engage. The 3.69 gears cause this problem, at least in the 03/04 cars.
Wasn't this discussed and we figured out if you exceed a certain point (such as 80 for Mark) and try to set the cruise, it disables it for the next 3 or so times you start the car? Or am I remembering wrong
I can't speak for Mark - but that doesnt happen to me.
