stock drivetrain

how much power is the stock drivetrain capable of handling (the axles/ center section)

It will handle 500hp if your careful. Me personally? I wouldn't go over 425. That's JUST from the drive shaft back. The tranny is a different kettle of fish.

I don't pretend to be an expert at this, just what I have read here over the last six years.

is it the center section or the axles thant cant handle the power?

It also depends on the type of diff you have stock or Limited slip, I think the latter is a bit stronger. I do know that when the guys here get over say 600rwhp, they change out the gears on the pumpkin and the axles.

ok cool, i have a cusco 2 way lsd but with stock axles, Do you see me running into problems with about 600 rwhp?

If all you want to do is take it to the drag strip or be a stoplight bandit, yes, I see you breaking one. If you like to play in the twisties and don't launch it every time, you should be fine.

Just don't dump the clutch. Those who usually break axles do so at the strip.
