Vibration from the 6MT shift ****

I know the vibration from the shift **** is normal from a RWD car however is there a solution or mod to significantly reduce the vibration? The vibration just feels like a buzzer/clipper from the barber shop, after a while the annoyance travels up from your hand to your arm.
After a long drive, my hand becomes numb and it is not ideal. I have asked a few of my buddies and they feel the same way.

Any one with a solution that they can share to the G members?

The shift **** isn't a hand rest, your argument is invalid, google search why you shouldn't do this.

I know why you shouldn't rest your hand on the shifter but this is not what I wrote this thread for. In-addition "argument" was not my intention for this thread.

I am sure, I am not the only one that may hang on to the shifter a bit longer during traffic or long drives for stop and go shifting. Also I don't exactly rest and place dead weight from my hand directly onto the shifter. It is more like a slight contact to touching the shifter for a fast acting shift in case of an emergency. Given that driving for many hours even with slight contact from hand to shifter, the vibration takes a toll on your hand/arm.

Again, this thread is to see if anyone has a solution.
Thanks in advance.

Pick up my Tommy Kaira shift ****. At 1.3 pounds when you include the base finisher, I noticed the weight helped dampen the vibration.

Sorry that was an internet joke that flew a little high I guess

I don't know that much CAN be done about it, the CD00# transmissions are just really noisy and vibrate a lot, it's mostly just the design which is something that was corrected for the G37 which feels INFINITELY smoother than the G35 transmission. My CD009 definitely has substantial vibration transmitted up the shifter.

^ wonder if it has something to do with the different mount design on the G37 trans.

I have a Z1 trans mount and it stopped the shifter from bouncing around, but still has vibration that OP describes. Solution is to not rest hand on shifter. A weighted **** might help.

Just for kicks try driving your G without the shifter **** for a few blocks, I'm not convinced what you're feeling is the ****...quite possibly the throw out bearing!
Oh and yes, keep both hands on the steering wheel while driving, quit playing with your ****!

I have heard about getting a weighted shift **** to help with the vibrations.
Anyone tried these extra heavy 750- 800 gram shift *****?
Does it help reduce vibrations?
Does it enhance shifting experience?
Thanks
