JDM trans
Yea, often the trans slips only when i let off n get back on it, not from a complete stop though.. specifically in 1st when the trans is trying to upshift to 2nd but wont.. Im currently stuck in 1st gear, Locked out of 5th gear and manual mode when the trans do decides to upshift properly.. Its weird man, thats why im suspecting the TCM.. but on the other hand ive heard that transmission speed sensors would do this, if faulty. IDK MANN, Japanese Ppl ****in love puzzles Smh
A friend of mine had an '02 or '03 Maxima that had (I think) the same code. Damn thing barely made it up my driveway, trans was slipping and missing shifts. I changed the speed sensor, on that car its right behind the driver side front tire. Cleared the code & that car drove great afterwards! Code never came back on and trans shifted perfectly fine.
Well, honestly you don't have much to lose by trying a new speed sensor before a new transmission. If that sensor is faulty, its giving the TCM bad/incorrect input so it doesn't know what line pressure should be or when to shift.
