lots of small tedious parts in general... you better have equally lots of tolerance and patience (I know I don't).

Install pricing has come down quite a bit... but I dont think there are very many shops that have done lots of 'em.

After doing a few sets of header installs including the Crawford's I feel like I can do just about anything on the G now. haha

It seems like there are just a lot of bolts you have to keep straight, but aside from that new springs/drilling a few holes doesn't bother me.

uh oh... you know better than that (I hope)... I can promise you its not gonna be like (as easy as) headers and hfc...

Crawford headers were not easy.

I know its not going to be the same as the headers/hfc but in a lot of ways it will not have the same issues. Have you looked through the DIY on it?

Seems that keeping the bolts straight is the biggest headache.

yes, I realize Crawford headers are cramped (I have them too)... that challenge is simply "space" - its a tight squeeze... but its a straight forward install - same as the hfc... just a simple bolt-on.

I did view the DIY and the kit... the kit itself is deceivingly sparse... but there are too many small parts and too much margin for error & too big a price tag if something ****** up... Just tedious and trifling - and precise.

Good luck

There was a guy on here that had the transgo install instructions. . .He sent them to me. I don't think there is any drilling involved. . .just changing a bunch of the valve retention springs to different stiffnesses, etc. I can send the directions to you if you want. PM me your email if you're interested. I'm in the same boat. . .$250ish for the kit plus my own time/patients vs $800ish for someone else to do it. . .I'd rather do it myself. If I F it up, it's my car. So, that leaves me no option, but to learn how to do it, study the directions, and do it right.

Same fo me as well. There is a DIY on here now. You do have to drill 4 or 5 holes in the seperating plate. As well as 4 or 5 retention springs on each side of the lower part of the VB. most of the work seems to be getting the VB out and keeping everything organized so you don't put things in the wrong place.

Granted I'm not FI, but here is a video of my transgo shifting from 1st to 2nd. I used to have the Stillen VB which OCG35 has driven before.

The transgo is much faster than the stillen.
