Took care of my clicking problem today. Thanks for the link Blue Dream, it was very helpful. I had trouble finding M77 grease in any of the auto parts stores, so I just used some waterproof axle/bearing grease I had laying around, and it seemed to work good. The only difficult part was getting the axle out, since mine was the drivers side and therefore the exhaust was in the way. removing the sway bar out of the way would have probably helped make it easier, but I was able to contort the axle in and out without having to.

i took the axle out tonight..wasnt a problem, having a real hard time though finding the right grease..i have an advanced auto, autozone and napa to choose from..none have molykote m77 obviously but then i read that citgo lithoplex mp wheel bearing grease is a good solution which i cant find..what did everyone use with success and how long has ur click been gone..thanks in advance..also i did find this on ebay http://www.ebay.com/itm/DOW-CORNING-...item416d4f1baa which is what it calls for and considering just buying this but id rather find something local if it works just as good..

I used Valvoline Syn Power synthetic grease over 40K miles ago and the click still hasn't come back. HTH

Yeah, I think as long as you use a thick, water proof grease, you should be ok

cool..thanks..just dont wanna have to do it again..at least for a while..is that one a tub or a tube and did you do the splines at all too or just the smooth surface area, also what did you apply the grease with?..

It comes in a tube. I used my hands and greased the splines and the shaft.

you just need about a tablespoon or two of grease. I put a good layer on the flat surface, and just a light coat on the splines.

That's what I used except mine came in a tube not a tub. Can't speak for the other but like I said above I've got 40K on the Valvoline with no click so I'm happy with it.

ya theres quite a few diff. valvoline ones but most say on them like ford mercury lincoln or japanese or multi blend of synthetic etc..the only one that was listed as exactly what you said is that tub, looks to be the same though..

I have this issue as well and getting ready to fix it, but I just have a hard time understanding and beliving that grease will fix the issue long term. Stillen says there are nylon bushings in the diff that are an issue as well. There was a link to a video on this fix, but I can't find it now.

That is exactly the tub of stuff I used on mine last summer. No problems so far and I put a lot of miles on my car.

You'll notice the description says it's Moly-fortified, which is the same substance found in this all elusive Nissan spec "molykote m77"

I used the same one as Blue Dream except in the 'tub'. It's exactly the same.
